La Plata Democrats are sponsoring a Healthy Snacks Drive to gather after school snacks for the kids in these programs. Ignacio Youth Services is a grant-funded program, but grant money cannot be used to purchase snacks.  And we all know that teenagers are ALWAYS hungry!

We’re looking for individually packaged servings of trail mix, protein or granola bars, jerky, fruit leather, popcorn, etc.

Snacks will be collected in “Valentine’s Boxes” in parking lots in Durango, Bayfield and Ignacio from 10 am – 12 pm on Saturday, February 12.
