CALL our Congress members everyday. Local numbers and DC. 

Congressional phones are burning up right now - 40x what they normally get. Senators get reports about the 3 most-called about topics a day, sorted by zip code and area code.​

Two options: Follow the info below OR download the app for 5calls.org. They specialize in following the news and upcoming WORST actions of this administration and have created scripts / background info to use on different issues. Super simple!

If you have specific concerns not related to what 5Calls.org covers, dial directly.

• Put all the numbers here in your phone for ease of access - say under P for Politician.

• Mention a personal reason for calling

• Try to speak with a person; leave a message only as a last resort.

• Leave your zip code!

• Be clear on what you want — "I'm disappointed that the Senator..." or "I want to thank the Senator for their vote on... " or "I want the Senator to know that voting in _____ way is the wrong decision for Colorado because...." Don't leave any ambiguity.

• Be concise.

• Be nice to the staffer - usually young and totally overwhelmed. ​​​​​​​​

VISIT Durango offices ... but CALL AHEAD! There's typically only one staff person locally, and that person has many many counties to visit weekly. Call and ask for an appointment.

Do not bother with emails or letters! Write LTEs - write the Durango Herald and Telegraph! They track that stuff. Also give them hell - or kudos - on Social Media.
